Takashiya - Hida Takayama Chieftan's Mansion -
A landscape for the heart that makes one want to say, "I'm home."
A structure of the closing years of the Edo period, this was originally a mansion of the chieftan of Hida Takayama.
With a floor space of 495 sq. meters (150 tsubo), an entrance made from a single slab of Japanese zelkova wood, and an abundant use of wood throughout the structure, this was a unique building in Hida Takayama.
A lively taste of Japanese construction together with a subtle delicacy combine for a nostalgic effect which many enthusiastic "Takashiya" fans enjoy.
All of the sliding paper doors can be opened to reveal the surrounding bamboo thicket, completely changing the atmosphere to one of another dimension.
Can be used for parties of up to 50 guests.
This chieftan's mansion can be booked in its entirety for all kinds of parties / meetings / lectures, etc. (Can seat up to 50 guests.)
